  5. I am a 68 yr old widow of a veteran, in SD. Will we get a check here? It’s very hard to live on such a small amount. Please let the lawmakers try it out for 6 months, to see the struggle. Bet they don’t even know how much a gallon of milk is!

We live on less than 2,000 a month and yet these checks today are going to Blue States! In Eastern Ky many people are Democrats along with my husband and me. Since we are selected out to suffer and do without, I will change and vote Republican along with my Husband, friends, and other family members and be at the Court House within the next few days! We are American Citizens and getting treated like Bastards at a family reunion!!

  11. I’m stunned that seniors are only getting a 3.2% raise on SS cks in 2024, for me that’s a whole $29.00! And, I’m 64, can’t work due to physical problems but not on disability and I don’t qualify for the stimulus? Because I’m not considered a senior, yet, I’m getting my silly retirement $ I earned all these years working.

  14. Out of everyone that gets a stimulus, the most needy are people on SSI. But because we don’t work, and don’t file income taxes, were not eligible. That truly is terrible. Us old people who are way low income really need help. We are struggling, a lot of people live in less than a $1000 a month. I hope it doesn’t get to the elderly starving. I know in the past some of them were eating tuna cat food, because it was much cheaper than real tuna. When the elderly are driven to eat cat food, things are out of control.

  15. Why does it have to be 65?? People under 65 are in the same sinking boat as people who are 65. Low or fixed income is all the same no matter if your 60 years old or 90 years old. People on SSI, disability or veterans all should get a check, No matter the age. We are struggling also.

  16. I never see Minnesota doing anything to help low income senior citizens. Social security income isn’t enough to survive. Food has gotten so expensive. Minnesota what’s up???????
