Under the allotment, 2 BHK houses will be distributed in many assembly constituencies at various locations in the GHMC limits.

The GOT has committed to provide 2 bedroom houses to all the homeless poor families of the state through 2 Bedroom Housing Program in a phased manner and each house will have 2 bedrooms, hall, kitchen and two toilets as per the instructions issued by the DM and Commissioner, GHMC for the implementation of the scheme. What is Telangana 2 BHK Housing Scheme?

The Government of Telangana shared the 2BHK Housing Scheme in 2015 to ensure housing for the poor families of the state. It is a major project to provide 2 BHK Housing to the low-income group of the state. This is an initiative taken by the GOT to make Hyderabad slum-free.

The beneficiary is not required to take a loan or contribute money to obtain a housing unit under this scheme. This is a fully subsidized scheme which is benefiting rural and urban low income families. Here i want to update you that 2BHK Housing Scheme is also known as Dignity Housing Scheme.

In an old announcement, the Telangana government will provide more than 10,000 houses under the Dignity Housing Scheme. Under this scheme, affordable houses will be provided to the poor citizens of the society living on the banks of Musi River. During the monsoon season, citizens living along the river banks face challenges related to floods and waterlogging.

The Dignity Housing Scheme will focus on people living on the river banks. Hall, kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 2 toilets are provided under this plan, covering an area of ​​560 sq. ft. Along with the housing unit, land is also provided free of cost. Slum areas like Jagtil, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Yadadri-Bhongri, Vikarabad, Jangaon, Mahabubnagar, Sircilla, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Medak, Sangareddy, Siddipet, Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Adilabad, Mancherial and Nirmal. The government has set a target of building more than three lakh 2BHK housing units.

• The family of the beneficiary should be below poverty line (BPL) and she should have a valid ration card with number.
• The 2BHK Scheme house will be allotted by GOT in the name of the housewife.
• Houses will be allotted by GOT to those women who do not have houses and who are currently living in huts, kutcha houses or rented houses.
• Provision for houses on the basis of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) will be followed in the selection of beneficiaries in every constituency.
