    • Amen… everyone around me has gotten 2, 3 or more and I got the very first one that was it. I’m on SSDI have never had to file or pay any taxes… I don’t understand what that has to do with me receiving the same money everybody else gets.

      • I totally agree with you. I’ve been on disability since 2006 and Haven had to pay taxes on what very little I do get. So how can I show my tax returns for 2019. I need the money just as well as anyone.

  1. I think EVERYONE should receive a $2000 check every month to whom cannot work due to injuries. I get SSI, AND IT’S still NOT ENOUGH, FOR THE WHOLE MONTH, ESPECIALLY SINCE I’m the only one in my house that has a steady income, it may be a small amount,Still Not ENUF. SHOULD DO THE SAme with food stamps, I don’t get enuf of them either. I appreciate everything I receive each month but getting $2000 would make it so much easier for me instead of borrowing from friends n family if they can even help. I hope this works out for everyone just so we the people can get a lil stress of our shoulders. Thank you very much

    • I totally agree with you. I’ve seen where they said that they would send out stimulus checks for 65 and above but what about all of us that are under 60 that are struggling just as well. We all worked most of our lives and paid into the system and we’re not getting what we worked for all of our lives. I truly hope this is true because this would help me and others so much..

  3. The country doesn’t need more stimulus check sent out we are already in the red. I am on disability yes it would help but no as a country we should not be sending out more money to people. We are all hurting live within your means you will be fine.

    • Some elderly and disabled people need the extra help. The people in our country’s government have no problem sending money to other countries, why not help our own citizens? Just saying

    • How are you supposed to live within your means when the price of gas alone is insane? Live within your means half the places are 1200 and up for rent the utilities car insurance if you have a vehicle taking care of children if you have any I’m struggling with the little amount I get and am totally disabled 🤦🏼‍♀️

  4. IT isn’t just seniors in social security, ssi, ssa, and ssdi that need the stimulus checks. It’s also disabled people on SSI, and ssdi that don’t have to pay taxes too. With the rising cost of food and everything else $943 from SSI isn’t enough to survive. so you need to send it to the disabled people also…

    Reply
    • Exactly it shouldn’t just be for seniors -disabled people cannot afford to live either! The pandemic has affected everyone! And so what if our country is in the red , it’s our government that put us there🤷 we shouldn’t have to go without because they cannot do things proper…we are all hurting financially!!!

  7. FROM NY: I am only on SSI & take care of my daughter. The 2 of us only live on $966 a month & food stamps barely covers us. With rent, electric, car ins. phone & other expenses we cant even get clothing or needs. I can barely cover laundry expense The govt has us living on a $7.50 an hour imcome limit in 2024! This is a wage for the early 80’s. They REFUSE to raise this, & we are extremely BELOW poverty level. We can’t afford BASIC NEEDS, let alone car repairs, appliances, pet food, hair cuts, & other items! This causes depression & other emotional issues & even death. More children lose their parents & grow up the same way… POOR! Its a never ending cycle. It needs to STOP! What happened to “WE THE PEOPLE?” Why is it all about THEM & not US? Its been like this for decades! There are more homelessness people now than ever, & its only getting worse! The govt is doing this & they have the power to end it, but they REFUSE to raise the poverty level to help our BASIC NEEDS! They will, however, TAKE AWAY OUR RIGHTS to have good health care & the rights to our own bodies! We are going back to the past, whe women were to be property & be silent! MEN want to RULE over everything!

    • That’s because that’s the money you were taxed for from working. That’s why they go back on your work history and calculate from that. They’re different cases but I worked since I was 12 and my last job was 31 years and it got so physical it ruined me. I can hardly do anything anymore and can’t enjoy life anymore. This has effected my daily living. I recently applied for ssdi because I’m still under retirement age and if I put in for retirement through work I won’t receive enough as of right now. You work all your life to be able to retire and enjoy life and things happen out of your control but that money I paid into all those years would be what I’m counting on to help me now.

  8. You are not a kidding, everything has gone up tremendously, an if I was to file taxes with my SSI an SS, I wudnt have any money left, plus at the end of the year taxes, I wudnt get much bac stuck with 1cpayk. I think the people who DO NOT file taxes, should get a stimulus check. One that file get at least 4-5 thousand back, an have jobs where they can get overtime or pay raises. We are stuck with our monthly same oh payment, CONGRESS, WE NEED HEL0

When you buy stuff at stores , when you pay your bills and even when you eat out , ect …. So no one can say you don’t pay taxes !!!

  11. I received my Stimulus checks from 2019 all the way to 2020 which was December the 28th $600. I got a letter from the White House saying we were going to get another shameless check of 1,400. In 2021 I am disabled I get SSI, SSDI. I’ve been waiting since 2021 for a new stimulus check can be sent out I’m still waiting and it’s not right because we were told that disability people that got social security would get a stimulus check well none of us have. I mean everything is on social security that is not received another stimulus like we were told. And I think they should keep their word and what they told people that were on social security income. And since the White House sent people a letter saying they’re going to receive another stimulus check in 2021 I believe they should have kept their word and done that. But instead they sat there and paid moms and dads and children stimulus checks college students stimulus checks teachers stimulus checks what about the people are just able they’re all social security income let me I’m 60 years old and I’m still waiting for my stimulus check I was supposed to receive in 2021 and still have not received it. So, and everything is going up now that we were all promised thar the world will be change for the better for the people…where were is is??? We all voted? Everything got worse.
My opinion is if you want to make change for the people this is your chance now….lower gas prices, start pay rate is $20/ hour….open up daycare in work places. And more….I can keep going.
Like my mom taught me you have to give a little to get it in return.

I receive $835 a month I was a licensed vocational nurse I had a fall in the job in the circumstances I can no longer perform the duties of a nurse, so therefore I’m on Social Security disability and think everybody should receive this money not just who your criteria claims should get it. We’re all struggling and hurting, we’re the ones that causes pandemic whoever put it out there but we’re suffering. You guys get your paychecks and I’m sure you get stimulus and everything else needs to be done as ridiculous. Why am I not getting my Social Security every time I file they tell me that I don’t need to file because there’s no taxable money , I live in a trailer RV park so don’t rent like normal people I live in alternative lifestyle but I’m hurting just as bad as everybody else. Why am I not getting my stimulus not one have I received ever

  15. They don’t care if we are disabled or elderly on any type of social security. We don’t make enough to file taxes even though it’s supposedly free to file. People who work didn’t receive anything extra when they filed taxes unless they had children. I believe in helping other countries but you must first take care of our own people. I see tents in the woods off the highway. Some people choose to live that way but others are homeless because of the sky rocketing prices. Rents are ridiculous.two of my 3 children have student loans. One is 40,000.00 and the other one has 10,000.00. Try paying those too. A trade school is better than college. Minimum wages are higher than people with a college education having a bachelors degree. A 50 cent raise is a slap in the face. We need our stimulus money for social security. I can’t even afford to fix my house. I’m behind on bills. Food is expensive and even worse when you have Celiac disease. Which is no wheat or gluten free. Food stamps are not enough. Food pantries are no help to me. So we need that 2,000.00 stimulus money. Every grocery store are the same prices. You need to go to every one of them for sale prices. No coupons come in my mail in years. We need to start pushing back on State Representatives, congress etc….so watch out who you vote for. Do the research.
