I am disabled, divorced 63 year old, only get disability and small pension that doesn’t cover my rent and after 10 years New York State dropped my Medicaid benefits and said I had to apply to county. County rejected me, I can’t find anyone to help me figure out my problem. I have some savings but they will dissapear fast making up my rent and paying for Healthcare. I am not 65 yet and will probably end up homeless. I was on Medicaid for 10 years and my only explanation was they are cleaning up after Covid.
